Flower table decorations that are on or near food and drinks should be edible.  Make sure to research the flowers you intend to use for these designs, or ask your florist if they are going to be harmful if eaten or if parts get into the food or drink.  Don’t use poinsettias in the food for Christmastime weddings; instead you can have edible poinsettias made from icing for the cake and use realistic silk poinsettias for the punch.
